Members introduce themselves

Close-up EBZ Group

In the "Members introduce themselves" section, companies and research institutes from the Cluster Electric Mobility South-West provide an insight into their activities: they talk about their current activities, look into the future and show how they are advancing cooperation in the Cluster Electric Mobility South-West. In August, we put three questions to the EBZ Group.

What are the topics your company is currently working on?

In addition to its main activities in the field of car body and assembly systems, engineering, prototype construction, toolmaking and composites, the EBZ Group is also involved in the fields of battery and hydrogen technology. In the field of battery technology, the focus is on the product development of lithium titanate battery systems (LTO) for high-performance applications. The main applications to date have been in trolleybuses and trams, but the LTO battery technology has great potential for other applications, such as public transport.

What topics will be relevant or of interest to your company in the future?

The company's expertise in product development for battery systems will be expanded in the future, together with its many years of experience in battery assembly technology. Further proprietary battery systems will be launched in the future, opening up new areas of applications. In addition, the focus is on a strong market position, a general expansion of the product portfolio in the field of battery systems and the use of future cell technologies.

How does the Cluster Electric Mobility South-West support you?

The Cluster Electric Mobility South-West supports the EBZ Group by organising regular events with the opportunity for a lively exchange on current and future topics in the field of battery technology. The membership of the cluster offers great potential for networking with other market players and research institutes.
