Information and communications technologies (ICT) play a central role in the overall system of electric mobility. The system of future mobility will not only contain communication between vehicles (Car2Car communication) but also infrastructure components such as traffic management and charging infrastructure (Car2X communication). Also, all issues relating to intermodal mobility solutions and the integration of e-vehicles into smart grids are involved. The necessary profound understanding of the system and the required, new integrated technology competence for the implementation are uniquely reflected in the cluster structure, representing an ideal and regional setup. The small and medium-sized business located within the cluster region and the excellent research and university environment provide optimal conditions in the ICT field to assume a leading role in the new mobility and to promote the industrialisation of electric mobility.
