Tasks

It is the acclaimed target of the Leading-Edge Cluster Electric Mobility Southwest to push electric mobility in Germany and turn Baden-Württemberg into a leading supplier of innovative mobility solutions in the world market. The more than 120 players from industry, universities and research institutes make the cluster one of the most important regional associations in the field of electric mobility.

The cluster partners jointly develop innovative technologies for the mobility of the future in four innovation fields ‘Vehicles’, ‘Energy’, ‘Information and Communications Technology (ICT)’ and ‘Production’. The collaboration allows for achieving user-friendly and cost-efficient solutions. The cluster merges the right partners across industries and assists them in establishing themselves as the leading suppliers for mobility solutions.

Aside from the work in subject-related working groups and technological projects, the cluster partners also collaborate in fields of overlapping interest such as public relations, internationalisation, knowledge transfer as well as training, continuing education and personnel development.

Cluster and Project Management

e-mobil BW GmbH – the State Agency for New Mobility Solutions and Automotive – provides the cluster management and offers a wide range of services. The cluster management is the central contact for partners, interested parties and funding providers and manages the meetings of bodies and working groups. Furthermore, the cluster management, in the interest of promoting the work of the partners, regularly informs of current political and economic developments in the context of electric mobility as well as funding potential for e-mobility and adjacent technologies. e-mobil BW coordinates the media and public relations work of the cluster with the intent of increasing public awareness and visibility of the cluster and its participants as well as the high-tech strategy of the national government.
